List of bills filed that relate to state employees and retirees

Texas legislators are currently filing bills to be put through the legislative process when session starts January 21, 2021. So far, there have been 14 bills filed that relate to state employees and retirees. Here's the list:

 

Employee Time/Leave

Relating to abolishing Confederate Heroes Day:

Relating to the designation of certain election days as state holidays:

Relating to leave for state employees who are volunteers of certain disaster relief organizations:

Relating to the designation of the day after the Super Bowl as a state holiday:

 

Workplace Protections and Pay

Relating to authority for certain state employees to work flexible hours and to work from home or other authorized alternative work sites:

Relating to the prohibition of certain discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression; providing an administrative penalty:

Relating to establishment of an employee grievance procedure for Health and Human Services Commission & Department of Family and Protective Services:

Relating to the establishment of the Texas Pay Equity Task Force:

Relating to prohibited retaliation against state or local public employees for reporting certain violations of law:

 

Health Care

Relating to health benefit plan coverage for laparoscopic removal of uterine fibroids:

Relating to the establishment of a bundled-pricing program to reduce certain health care costs in the state employees group benefits program:
