The 2008 Blue Cross Blue Shield/Texas Public Employees Association scholarship is a financial award based on special skills, scholarship abilities, community service, and future employment needs. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded at the TPEA annual meeting in June 2008. Members of TPEA, their spouses, and/or dependents are eligible for this award.
This application must be completed by the student. It, along with transcripts and a written statement, must be received at TPEA headquarters by FRIDAY, MAY 30, 2008.

APPLICATION ADDENDA/MISCELLANEOUS
In addition to this application form, you must provide:
- A transcript of your grades for the last three reporting periods at the high school and/or college where you are enrolled.
- A summary, of no more than 300 words, telling how you meet the judging criteria and why you wish to receive this scholarship. Be sure you address each criteria listed above.
TPEA membership requirements will be verified before scholarship funds are awarded. Unsigned or otherwise incomplete applications, or applications without the required addenda, will not be returned and will be rejected by the panel of judges or its designee. Students enrolled in correspondence courses do not qualify for this program.
